I think I fixed most of the issues we were seeing with the editor last week, so I'll be attempting a small update to the forums about 10:00 AM (Pacific).
Should be 10 minutes or less of downtime to get it in place.
Still testing a few areas, but we should be done with the forum maintenance for now.
Forum responsiveness seems poorer since the maintenance. Refreshing the Recent Topics screen takes several seconds longer than it used to.
I've noticed that as well and will be working on improving that when I get a chance. I also noticed that the tagging system on the forums is starting to slow things down as well and I may look at consolidating a lot of the tags that are referenced by only one or two posts.

Since you changed things today I cannot login or reply in the Chrome browser on iPad.
I can use Safari on iPad, but Chrome is my preferred browser and I coul use it yesterday.
So I need to load a non-Apple browser onto an iPad to replicate this? Oh, the impurity of it all!
I'll try it out and see if I can figure out what is causing this.
Made one change that should help with speed quite a bit - should make several more but they are more involved so it might be a while until those are done.
I've just spent nearly a week hunting down residue Chrome files that continued to check for updates 3-4 times a day even though I'd deleted the program, so I understand your feelings! [:D]
Oh my goodness! No wonder the forum input panel's working again. Penguin is back!!!
We've missed him so much. Vacation? Helping out on Logos5? Summer sabbatical?
Bring out the pitchfork and torches! [:D]

I just prefer Google because neither Microsoft nor Apple like to play nice with each other, Google is a neutral party that seems to perform on both platforms.
Chrome on iOS should be seeing the rich text editor now.
Very earlier versions of Safari may have issues, but I'll wait until I hear of any problems there before looking to narrow down the browsers that support the rich text editor any more.
Logos is the most responsive (to customer feedback) software company with which I have ever dealt. Thank you!!
