I Take it back. The iPhone and iPad are still crashing even though I have re-downloaded the books and am online. I cannot use my Logos library now . Can anyone help?
How many books did you download? Did it finish? How many notes/highlights do you have? How much free space is on your devices? What are you doing when it crashes?
I forgot to ask: what resources are you using? There are some known issues with some resources since the update to 3.x builds. Those have largely been fixed in current beta builds.
I will answer you questions below:
1. I have a huge Logos book collection, literally tens of thousands of dollars. I have downloaded all of them to my computer. I have put about 100 on my IPhone and IPad. Today I was using my KJV and Word Biblical Commentary Psalms in a split screen. I went to turn the page of the WBC Psalms and the app crashed. The same thing is happening on my IPad. Except in the IPad I was in WBC Proverbs. So, I deleted the WBC Psalms and re-downloaded it. I think it finished. The little whirly thing at the top disappeared. It worked for a couple of pages and then crashed.
You didn’t ask, but I tried to get the crash log but it wasn’t there. I plugged into ITunes, synched but when I went to find the crash log there wasn’t one for today????? Very confusing because it most assuredly crashed.
Also, if the beta build fixes this, how do I get it???
Steve
Based on your question about what resources I was using, I went back and checked other books from different commentary series. They seemed to be working without crashing. Although, I only scanned about 20 pages, during which it did not crash. I can only do 1 page turn before it crashed with the WBC Psalms.
Steve - I can't guarantee that the beta WILL fix your issue, but my guess is that it will. The release notes mention the WBC by name (but not which volumes). If you want to give me a page number, I will check it out.
As far as beta goes, it is a private beta. Apple limits the number of beta users developers can utilize. Sorry [:s]
I went through more than 50 pages without a crash, but feel free to give me a specific passage.
I forgot to tell you before... There have been users with large note files who have had issues. I know it's a bit confusing, but for several releases of L4, "highlights equal notes." technically the only difference is that highlights have a visual applied to them and can only be attached to a "selection" (and not a "reference").
Wbc psalms. Vol 3. Psalm 117 Comment
I'm having the same problem with v 3 of Wbc Psalms if I try to open it from Passage guide, but not if I open it from my library.
No crash. Lets hope that your issue is part of the fix. [:)]
No problem either. I can open from the PG just fine. Hopefully your issue is part of the fix too.
