SCAN Command

I read in the forum where you said "you could use the SCAN command, if you know where your Libronix resources are. For a default installation in Win7, this will be either scan C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Resources, or scan C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources (for Win7 64 bit)" Where do I enter this SCAN command? Thanks

You enter it in the command input box in Logos 4 (which is in the top middle of the screen). Then you need to close and reopen L4 to make it work.

hm. This is the usual behavior of the box when it doesn't recognize the command. I'm not sure if the capitalization ("SCAN") is the culprit - could you try "scan" and "Scan" (of course without the quote marks and with the path you intend) and post a screenshot if it doesn't work?

Whether I type in scan or SCAN I get a drop down list under the command with SEARCH and then 3 Search for Scan entries. I wish I could give you a screen

shot on this but the drop down goes away when I change to focus to my copy screen utility. In fact I can't get the screen shot to paste here at all. Just to mention, there is a word shortcuts to the right of the command box..... ??

The best idea is to use a utility like Jing which can be activated by a keyboard shortcut and thus will capture popups and dropdowns.

In fact I can't get the screen shot to paste here at all.

Pasting pictures won't work here. You'll need a graphics file (I think *.png works best) and then use the paperclip icon you see in the button bar of the forum post editor. Counterintuitevely, it will only take a file name but will show the picture in your post. People going without any screen capture utility have sometimes posted their copied screens into Word documents and uploaded these.

Maybe someone else can chime in regarding your initial problem. What version of L4 are you using on which OS?

Maybe you mistyped the path?

I tried "Scan dvd" and it offers me the available CD-ROM drives (including virtual ones) - note: regardless of capitalization

and I tried the path for Win 7 32 bit you gave in your post above and it offered me that as well

I'm running the latest beta, but nevertheless I think this hasn't been touched for a long time and should work!

and it will build the library using the Libronix resources before Logos 4 starts up.

Yes. This is an area in the L4 screen where you may drag shortcuts, such as often-used commands or resources.

I also have an issue with installing Thomas Nelson on my desktop. I had it installed and working but had to uninstall it. I think the uninstall did not

get rid of all the data. On the uninstall screen it didn't say uninstall completed successfully it said it did not remove all of the files. So now when I try and

re-install it I get an Update Error screen Error Code 6 Internal Error Exception 0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified...

Is there a Libronix uninstall utility that deletes all files?
