right click options for clippings

In the right click menu, only one clippings and note file are shown - the most recently opened. So, if you want to add a clipping to a specific clipping file, you need to first open that clipping file, then do the right click.

Several of us (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/4391/34397.aspx#34397) have asked for this to be changed, so (for example) we have a pulldown menu of potential files or some other way to navigate around. I'm not aware of a definite response from Logos, but others may have heard.

I'm dissapointed that this was not done in L5. Would really like to see it added.

Can see the value of this, but it also comes with some drawbacks. The pulldown menu could become problematic. On my system I have 39 note files and 41 clippings. That would be quite cumbersome to navigate, and many users have far more note files that I do.

Perhaps. But in my Adobe software it will do a fly-out with a scroll bar letting me see all my 1,000 or so (at least it seems that way) fonts. In some software (can't remember which) it will do fly-out panels side by-side until the screen is filled.

Honesty, this would be handy for notes, clippings, and highlighting files. I wish it would get on the To Do list in Logos development.

Good analogy. Sometimes, I have considered deleting some of those fonts that have not been used since the introduction of OS X last millennium.

I hate having so many fonts, but I'm afraid to delete one for fear that's just the one I'd sometime want.

I did finally delete about 100 of them a while back. I'm trying to forget that some of them might have been valuable some day.

I'm more interested in Notes than Clippings, but, yes, having to constantly find and open note files before I can add notes to them is one of the things that annoys me most. It's no problem if you're a preacher working on only one passage, and adding your notes to only one note file, but when I make 10 notes, they are likely to go to at least 5 different note files, so the likelihood that the correct file shows up in the present right-click menu is pretty slim. One of the things that makes taking notes extremely slow.
