Problems with NO resources

Ok after hitting merge indexes earlier today I had to uninstall v4, and do clean reinstall.

Followed Dave H.'s instructions for quick install on 2nd machine.

Reinstall seemed to go good- pasted files in data/wierd name/- opened v4 up everything looks good- EXCEPT no resource text- shows book covers, names, descriptions- but the book text is not there.

I need to mention I had already deleted v3 from my 2nd laptop.

And I noticed that the indexing did not resume after I stopped it and pasted the folders in data/weird/

you need to delete the file resourcemanager.db and allow this file to be rebuilt.

ok deleted the resourcemanager folder out of the data/weird/ - i'm assuming (be careful) thats the one oyu meant.

restarted and now its says "preparing your library"

I just meant the file not the folder... resourcemanager.db

Not sure what deleting the folder will do.

Preparing the library could take a while.... as the resourcemanager is rebuilt.

ok stopped download- (I did save a copy of the files) deleted new files, pasted old files back in and deleted the db file- so it should be fine i'll know in a little while, if not there is always tommorrow [:)]

Whyndell, if that fails I do have a simpler "quick" procedure. Try Method 1 at http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers

You wouldn't have to re-install, just wipe the Logos4 folder and replace with a full working installation!
