Is there a way to use "community tags" in the search tool without using a collection in the same manner you would use mytags?
There isn't a way and I sincerely hope it never happens as the Search "in" menu would be inordinately long with all the community tags listed. Just make a collection(s) using communitytag:value.
That is what I did. I understand what you mean about the list being huge. What I was thinking of was simply to have an option to type in a field communitytag: if you happen to know what you want.
It's probably an ill advised suggestion.

That could be a suggestion i.e. type in the Find box and treat that as a collection. But it would have to build a list of resources before starting the search, whilst pre-defined collections are maintained in the background.
Understood. I am surmising from your comments, you've been a programmer in your journey.
Correct - it's in my Logos bio. But studying logs tells me what happens "under the hood".

Sorry, this is off-topic: But where are the Logos bios now? When I click on your name I get the following page:
https://faithlife.com/davidhooton1
And there is no bio any more.

In addition to what Dave already said: you might as well click on the blue text (=link) "Forum Activity" right to a name.
It was announced by Logos some time ago when they made the change, so I think that's the "canonical way" to get to the page which once was behind clicking the name.
I see. I assumed that clicking on a picture just gives me a bigger version of you. [;)]

No - it just told you that I've been lazy and done nothing recently...

Weird, actually. Did you turn it off somewhere in your profile, or is there a bug in the forum software (say a counter that can't grow to five-digit post counts) ?

Not that - KS4J (on 10,461) has activity showing in his profile.

I can't remember and it doesn't concern me that much.
