The marketing of the EEC leaves me confused. I can be quite obtuse so it could just be me but . . .

Can I not simply purchase a single volume I may want without having to purchase the entire set?
Are they really expecting us to spend almost $1,000 for a set that only has four volumes published thus far?
Has anyone actually bit on this offer?
Who is writing the Deuteronomy volume, Michael Grisanti or Eugene Merril?

No, or at least not yet. Maybe Logos will some time (re-)decide to offer individual volumes, but currently they only offer the full subscription.

That seems to be the case. There may be discounts, and you may spread payment over a plan.

Yes. There have been quite a number among the forum users stating that they did.

Many of us paid $700 before any volumes were published. Once the set is complete, the price will be far more than the current $1000. Doubt that it will ever be less than it is now.

When the set was first offered, Logos stated that it would only be available as a series—this is a common practice with pre-publication offerings. A few months ago, current volumes were offered individually. This produced a fire-storm of protests. After reviewing previous marketing declarations, Logos withdrew the individual offerings. So, you cannot purchase individual offerings because Logos is a company which honors its commitments.

Yes. If you got in when the offer first came out it was much lower, around $700 as one user pointed out, but there were custom payment plans you could choose which could be spread out over a number of years, e.g charge every x months over y years. They were time limited payment plan options which I believe are no longer on offer, specific only to this set, and only available prior to the release of the first volume. Although this offers of custom payment plans only came after much negative feedback from users over the whole idea, when it was initially a one up payment in full decision. The one you are now facing Donn, so no its not just you in questioning the offer, but it is now what it is because of the hole Logos dug.To go back on that contract with those who pre-ordered would be a breach of that contract and make their integrity look very questionable - I think a business word should be that so I think unfortunately Logos did not think this through fully at the time - but they now have to live with the consequences of that decision. In recent time i have seen them bundling Lexaham resources on pre-pub in a set and then asking for customers to pay for the full set and then only release them one title at a time as they are ready. I guess it depends on whether you are a glass half full or a glass half empty kind of person whether this works for you personally. Basically they are asking customers to become investors in these sets rather than just purchasers.

Yes I took up the deal when the payment plan options were made available.

Too bad. I would love to have the Varner volume on James but many of the others hold no interest for me at all.

I too signed up when an excellent payment plan was offered. I look forward to seeing each of them published. I look forward to when they are all complete.
