Best Commentary Series: Sermon Outlines, Illustrations, Applications
In the market for the best commentary series with sermon outlines, illustrations and applications for cheap. NIVAC is not in my budget. I have Platinum v5. Already own Preacher's Commentary, Pulpit Commentary.

Holman 12 Vol New Testament at $147 has many of these features.

These are not in depth, but would be a good place to complement the other stuff in your Platinum library.

I should have mentioned that I had Logos 4 Platinum and then upgraded to v5 Platinum (thus I already have Wiersbe's "BE series"). I have Holman NT as well. (It comes in Silver.) Maybe I already have all the good preachers' commentaries (save NIVAC...which I have the OT set).

My suggestion (though I don't necessarily consider them "commentaries") is John G. Butler's Analytical Bible Expositor (Complete New Testament and Old Testament is coming along just fine). Also his Biography Series and Studies of the Savior provide "outlined commentary" on several books and large portions of Scriptures. Very practical!

If you have Logos 5 Platinum, then you have the Preaching the Word Commentaries Series. They are very good on illustrations and applications.
