Personal Books - L5 upgrade

What will happen to my personal books in L4 when I upgrade to Logos 5?

They stay in your library. Logos 5 uses the resources you had with L4 and downloads the new ones.

They should come in without any problem. As far as I can recall there is no new tagging or functionality in PBB's in L5.

thats a shame, I was hoping my PBB's would populate out to my tablet... All of my class notes at seminary go into PBB's, and that type of functionality would be eminently useful.
THAT and being able to import audio/video/images into a PBB... My seminary has recently started recording videos of most of the classes we take. I have downloaded all of these and would value being able to write in descriptions of them, and have those descriptions indexed, and able to pull up the video - or even launch it in an external video player.
Further I have scores of sermons downloaded from scores of preachers, and i would love to be able to store those in Logos, and have the relevant ones pop-up whenever I do a search on Jonah (I have a paper coming up on that next friday). One day, I would love to be able to include audio files of my own sermons.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

There are many of us who agree with you. This, however, isn't an easy thing to do… those documents will have to be stored in a cloud somewhere… which can be pretty expensive. We're planning this functionality, but weren't able to have it ready in time for the 5.0 release. It's coming, though!

I thought about that, but its not the only solution...
My devices are mostly iDevices... So I can only speak to the way those work, however many apps on the app store allow you to store things from your computer, to your tablet (in my case) or phone. So you compile a new book in PBB, you ought to be able to just drag and drop that file into the apropriate place in iTunes, and have the PBB sent to your device(s) the next time it syncs.L2 lvl4 (...) I wrote out a post about loading .docx onto my tablet through iTunes (something that is done with other apps on the app store) - but my ISP was a little hungry I think...L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

I upgraded and my personal books will not load and I get a message saying I don't have the license. I had to go through them all again and re-load all my word files. Frustrated!

As of now Personal Books do not "sync" -- so they must be re-compiled -- But usually this is just on a software re-install (or as you have experienced, in going from L4 to L5).
Suppossedly some day this may not be an issue, but no one seems to know when that might be?

Did you upgrade on the same computer? If so, did you do a fresh install? If you just updated over the old installation, your personal books SHOULD have remained… as Steve indicated, personal books do not sync from computer to computer, and need to be recompiled on each computer. Personally, I use drop box to sync the .docx files so that I always have the right .docx file if it needs to be recompiled.
