What am I missing?

I've been following the post on the Tyndale commentaries, which includes the discussion of the price from IVPress, Amazon and anticipated in Pre-Pub from Logos. However, I noticed that my reply and the reply from at least three other people about a recent email from a software company that starts with Re" and ends with "joice" about their price have disappeared.

Am I missing some rule or guideline about postings on Logos? Seriously, someone PLEASE let me know so that I understand what is okay and what's not. I want to comply, but am an infrequent participant in web forums. (And PLEASE don't delete this post. I'm sure that other people -at least three others - are as curious and maybe a bit frustrated as I am.)

I should have known better than to post the info that got deleted. If it is not "against the rules" it is at least very rude of me. You would not eat dinner at one friend's house while discussing what a nice host a different friend was when you were a guest there. So I will just say

Dave Kaplan can probably get you the best deal on anything Logos.

I certainly don't want to be rude, but to me the ultimate in "rude" is the, at times, recurring "theological" discussions on the Logos forum (and previously in the Newsgroups) that were never touched even after Phil clearly and repeatedly stated that Logos was not the place for those. I, like the others who posted links, including the Amazon and IVPress ones (that remain), was just trying to be helpful and informative as part of the discussion.

Like I said, if this type of post or reply isn't allowed to be included on the forum, all Logos has to do (and should be willing to do if they are going to delete items) is simply let us know.

Well, I thought it is some technical problem, because my post is missing also, but I just wrote that I "will wait for Logos Pre-pub as they offer it for the same price." I put [H] there to show it is exaggeration. I had the given above name of the other company in quote however. I don't know, it is hard to believe it was deleted.

Okay, let me simply rephrase my original query, which I don't think is unreasonable so that everyone understands the parameters of this relatively new forum:

Logos - What are the guidelines as to what type of postings are unwelcome or inappropriate and subject to deletion?

Just really seeking understanding, honest, not trying to cause trouble.

One quick additional comment. In an effort to extend grace and not wanting to "cast stones," especially at our friends at Logos. If the recent deletions were done in error or determined not to be a "standard practice" going forward, I more than welcome an "oops... my bad... won't happen again" with no further explanation or justification needed and I hope others would feel likewise.

If you have a question for why Logos does what they do, don't be afraid to ask. Don't let the powers that be or the powers that think they be discourage you. I think Logos is a great company that puts out a great product. You're a customer. They're a merchant. Even this forum is an extension of that relationship.
