How do you pull information from the other tools on Logos into a handout that you are creating?

I am trying to use the handout tool on Logos 4. I have objects and cited material that I have compiled in my study that I would like to use on my handout. However, when I want to add an item, it only gives me certain graphics and articles. When I do a search to find what I want, it only gives me a limited selection. If I know exactly what I want, how do I get it from the research platform to the handout editor?

Welcome to the Logos forums, Ricky.

I cannot help you much. Unfortunately the Handouts feature is kind of the ugly stepsister in Logos. They threw it together pretty hastily for L4, and have not done any further work on it since then. They were at one point planning on completely rewriting it, but seem to have abandoned those plans, at least for the short term. I don't know what to expect down the road. In the meantime, the feature as it exists now is pretty lame. Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear. But you're probably better off exporting the graphics and articles you want from Logos into Word (or your word processor of choice) and building up your handouts that way.

how do I get it from the research platform to the handout editor?

There are 2 add options - add blank and add item. The add item behaves as you describe. If you use add blank you will open a space to copy & paste your work into.

Thanks for the helps. I tried using the ad blank option, but it wouldn't let me copy and past a graphic into it. That is what I was hoping for at that time. I will still mess with it a bit and see what I can come up with. Thanks.

His point wasn't that he didn't know how to do a paste, but that

it wouldn't let me copy and past a graphic into it.

And indeed, you cannot paste graphics into Handouts. Hence they are of limited usefulness.
