A few Questions on images and highlighting

Ok i am looking for the best way to search my logos library that gives me images or pictures of pagan Gods of the Old Testament. For example, right now I am studying the gods of Egypt and comparing them against the plagues that God sends. I am told that pictures of each would make a great resource for preaching through this topic.

Also I am looking for the best way to use highlighting and notes for personal devotion, sermon preparation, and seminary papers...ect. What are some ways people are balancing all these needs with the different colors and symbols that Logos offers. I currently have Logos 5 Platinum.

    Not ignoring your query, Joshua!  Just haven't figured a reliable way.  The best search language would be '#image NEAR Paul NEAR (Travel, Missionary)'

    where you might substitute words for paul or travel or missionary as examples.

    If I were doing this I'd look for '#image NEAR god near (list of god-names like sun, Re, Baal, Asherah, Molech, etc).

    Others will likely have better ideas.

    Don't know HOW your thread disappeared; this is a favorite question of KSFJ.

    It’s not that no one wants to help; they just don’t know how…..which doesn't surprise me;

    what you need to do is go back to Cosmology 101: a good place to start would be to goolge 'pagan gods', get the names of the particular 'gods' that you want a pic of then search for that. Also, not many can even remotely give you the beginning of the names of the gods that coincide w/the plagues.....which to me is surprising w/all the various scholary works put out in the ""resources"""...but i digress....

    Once you have established the pagan idoltry [gods] parallel the "MIRACLES" then you can match what you find of the images, which you will find many of some and none of others....you will be intrigued if this IS a study you really want to present.....and so will those who will be listening and watching your presentation...

    hope this helps.....and good luck on your research!! [hint: Hapi, Heket]

    DISCLAIMER: What you do on YOUR computer is your doing.

    Couple search ideas:

    #image NEAR (Egypt,Egyptian) WITHIN 11 WORDS (god,diety)

    #image NEAR (Egypt,Egyptian) WITHIN 11 WORDS plague

    My favorite Logos feature is visual filter highlighting; wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Extended_Tips_for_Highlighting_and_Visual_Filters#Examples_of_visual_filters
