I really like the new layout in v4. I find myself wishing that there was a hot key to maximize a window to full view. Like how Adobe CS4 apps you can use the ~ (tilde) key to maximize a palette.
Do you mean like F11 for "Reading Mode", which maximizes the current pane and removes most of the chrome? Or something different?
that works for me.
That's what I've been looking for. Didn't know what to call it when I was searching.
FWIW:
In Windows 7, you can drag a window to the very top of your screen and then release the mouse button and it will maximize to fill the entire screen. Drag a window to the extreme left side of your screen and it will resize itself to the left half of the screen . Drag another window to the right side and release it an it will resize itself to the other 1/2 of the screen.
Even Better:
Take a peak at your keyboard and see if you have the WIN key - the one that looks like the windows logo.
WIN+Left arrow = Fill left half of screen
WIN+Right arrow + Fill right half of screen
WIN+UP arrow = Maximize
WIN+Down = Restore or minimize.

Hey, keyboard vs. mouse! Why, we have have the makings of two new denominations or at least a roaring flame war here! [;)]

<joke>Well it's obvious as a mouse user that you are too (fill in the insult here) to comprehend the refined complexities and inherent righteousness of using the keyboard!</joke>
Does that work well enough for flamebait?
