Bug: 5.1B1 Unable to drag & drop selected text within a note

I'm pretty sure that this is a regression issue from 5.0 and earlier.

1. Select a word or paragraph within a note.

2. Left-click and hold the selection.

3. Move the mouse to another location (drag) within the same note and release (drop).

The selection will not be moved to the new location.

I don't mean to be critical but why exactly did you switch to this new editor? It doesn't provide any new functionality that I have detected and it is buggy. Will it allow you to bring additional functionality in the future? Was it to resolve a licensing issue? It isn't any faster so performance isn't the reason. Does it increase a common code base between platforms? We are having pain and I was just wondering what the advantage is? It may not be my business but I have a vested interest. Thanks.

Luke, hopefully I can help answer a couple of your questions.

The new rich text editor is intended to be fully cross-platform (it is currently in beta on Windows, Mac, and Android -- iOS has a seperate one but will eventually move to this new editor as well). On Mac specifically, users will be getting some very long-desired features like auto reference detection, improved list support and editing, etc.

Being cross-platform is important for the long run because of sync and a growing percentage of multi-platform users. (Syncing notes across platforms was previously problematic with certain formatting)

In addition to this, the new editor is based on our very mature and powerful resource display engine. This helps to alleviate a lot of pain that we've had in the past with different platforms' lack of support in their editors for languages and typographic features that are important to our users.

We greatly appreciate your help in beta testing the editor! We are actively watching the forums and continuing to improve the editor and add features that are important to our users (like drag and drop).
