BHS Critical Apparatus?

Hello everyone,

I do not find the way to access the critical apparatus of the BHS. Could anybody help please? When I open the BHS in Logos, I tick the "inline" box the ketiv and qere but they do not appear. What should I do?

As far as I know the BHS Apparatus is available only with the German Bible Society BHS that was available originally in the Stuttgart Electronic Study Bible. It is now available as a Logos stand-alone product here: http://www.logos.com/product/17645/biblia-hebraica-stuttgartensia-sesb-20-version-with-apparatus-and-wivu-introduction

When I open the BHS with Westminster 2.0 Morphology and check the boxes for ketiv and qere, they do appear (it works with the SESB edition of the BHS as well). Is this the version of the BHS you are using? What verses do you expect to see these and do not see them. (I looked at 1 Samuel 2:3, 9, 10.)

I guess to flesh out all the possibilities of the question, could also be the massorah magma (upper/lower marginal notes).

If so, in addition to purchase, to view, one would need to attach them to the BHS using the Logos Cited By tool.

Actually I expected to see them more frequently. I does indeed appear for 1 Sam. 2:3. But still, the critical apparatus is only available only separately... which is unfortunate since I have the Platinum. I guess it should be included because it is a basic resource at least at Platinum level, just as the critical apparatus is available for the Nestle-Aland Greek version. Well, if you know any way of getting for cheaper than 90$, please let me know.

Fabrice, the missing apparatus is due to the German Bible Society; not Logos. It's been that way for quite some time. I suspect the reason is to try to make the actual text affordable while still paying the scholars.

So if I were you, I'd just get a piggy-bank and save up. The GBS package has a lot that you'll need for a long time; you can buy the pieces separately, but as you say, $$$!
