I have no problem with this on the PC, but on my iPhone 4 I can see no way to turn of the interlinear, which I find highly annoying. Any suggestions?
Welcome to the forums Barry! [:)]
on my iPhone 4 I can see no way to turn of the interlinear, which I find highly annoying.
The ability to turn on and off interlinear layers in a resource like the Apostolic Fathers isn't a current feature of the mobile app. Sorry! [:S]
With the latest iOS version (3.3.0?) I believe the iOS app respects interlinear preferences set in the desktop. So however your interlinear lines are configured for the desktop, that should show I on your iOS device as well. Hope it helps.
Hi Rick.
is this generally true for all interlinears or just Apostolic Fathers?
I can't see how to get an interlinear display in a Bible, let alone adjust the layers.
Thanks, Graham
Thanks for all the responses so far. No, this doesn't seem to be the case, at least between my iPhone and my PC. I immediately turned off the interlinear for AF on the desktop (it came as the default setting). I have shut down Logos on the PC, started and restarted the phone, to no avail.
In teaching ancient Greek, I have always "preached" that interlinears are the spawn of the devil... [6] Now I have additional proof -- or maybe this is their revenge.
I had a go and also couldn't get it to work. The Apostolic Fathers Greek-English interlinear shows the interlinear lines even when I turn them on the desktop and sync. The Apostolic Fathers English with Greek reverse interlinear doesn't show any interlinear info when I turn it on on the desktop and sync.
just tried this with Lexham Greek-English Interlinear New Testament.
The Interlinear lines show but don't seem to be affected by settings in the same resource on the desktop.

You must be running the top, top secret version of the app. [:D]
Thanks Rick
as above I can't see this synched control on my iPad using the same version of the app as you have.
Graham
Thanks Rick. Could it be your desktop version too?
I asked, and was informed that the intent was that this feature be implemented generally. However, there may have been some work with sync data previous to release of 3.3.0 that affected how this feature works. If sync was somehow interrupted, it would explain why it works for me and not others (I was using this feature in a prerelease version).
They're looking into it, and whatever needs to be addressed will be in an upcoming release.

Thanks Rick - for looking into this.
This would be a really good capability to have - looking forward to it
Was this ever fixed? I am having the same problem on two different android phones.

Open your interlinear.
Click the three dots on the top right.
Click view settings.
Scroll down to the very bottom and hit "interlinear lines."
Check what you want to see and uncheck what you do not.
The design is poor (shouldn't this be more obvious?) but it does work.
