The question I asked should have been, If I was to purchase these video's will I get a free update to the L5 version?
I don't believe we have seen an answer to that question

I doubt it. They've never given free updates to the new training manuals when new editions come out. Maybe if the new edition came out within a short period of you buying the old one, they'd give you your money back for the old version and let you apply that to the price of the new one. They do have a 30-day money back policy, and they sometimes (at their discretion) stretch that beyond 30 days in special cases.
But if you're ready to plunge in, I'd go ahead and buy these ones. They will be good value to you. Once you know the language features in Logos well, you can pick up the new stuff from other free videos (such as Mark Barnes's Introducing Logos 5) without buying the new edition of these ones.

Although it seems the next iteration will be in a new format that actually is in Logos, so that could be worth waiting for...
