Some people follow Dana's lengthy thread on collection breakups and don't want comments (which is good).

Anyway she just broke up the Brazos Theological Commentary http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41600.aspx?PageIndex=14

I normally avoid theological commentaries like the plague (sort of who knows WHAT is inside??).

But the volume on 1 Samuel is sooooo refreshing. The commentary is written from a 'Christian' standpoint and she brings in quite a number of church father comments and their thinking, along with great discussion on the related archaeology.

It's not easy to read Murphy, without having a very good time of it!

EDIT:  One thing I notice in ordering it, is that the checkout defaults to breaking the payment up. The book is $35 and it splits it into 2 payments of $22 (rounding). Now ... think about that. Of course after checking out, it's not in Libronix (as I was afraid of), so tomorrow I'll have to trade Francesca in for Amazon. That's not a comment on Logos; just I try not to load up on Logos5 format books.

I would like for this collection to get the hammer treatment please. I want the OT Dictionary (I have the NT) but I don't want to shell out $100 for it.

If it isn't ever going to happen, please let us know. Thanks.

Or you could get it from somewhere else for $54.95 with free shipping included.  That's what I did.  I purchased the OT Word Study Dictionary for $39.95 back when Logos had it available separate, but also wanted the NT Word Study Dictionary with the other stuff that came with it, so I went ahead and ordered it elsewhere and now I have everything.  Not bad, considering the fact that the NT Dictionary was also $39.95.

This is one of those weird cases when a resource used to be sold separately but all of the sudden it now comes only as a bundle.  I guess someday Logos will be able to get permission to sell this separate again.  At least AMG Bible Essentials didn't go away like Moody did.

It would be nice to see this set broken up. Spurgeon's "Christ in the OT" would be great to have available to purchase individually. I can't see that it is in any other packages either.

Dana, is there any chance of breaking up all the classic commentaries and studies collections? I missed out on some good commentaries hiding in many of these sets.

Especially looking forward to the breaking of the set on Romans...

    Please...

I'm looking forward for the Classic Studies on the Parables to be broken up.  Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel that and other prepubs. :-(
