personal book builder failed, requested I close all other panels.

About one in three times that I attempt to build a personal book, I get this message:

"Build failed with 2 errors, 0 warnings. Could not remove existing resources. Please close all other open panels and try again."

I've tried to isolate any and all variables which might provoke this. In spite of the inconvenience, I indeed did close all other sources and tried again without avail. I have to delete the book and re-enter the information and then build another book. What might I be doing to provoke this?

The log reads:

[Info] Starting build for PBB:910ed4de2ebb40a185ce38154313ff57
[Error] Error while building book: Could not remove existing resource. Please close all other open panels and try again.
[Error] Exception: LDLS4.Panels.PersonalBookBuilderPanel.PersonalBookBuilderException: Could not remove existing resource. Please close all other open panels and try again.

Thank you for your assistance,

I've had this happen when the PB was a lectionary or calendar devotional on the home page. I've also had it happen when the PB was actually open in another panel - sometimes a bit hidden in a collection.

I have had this happen occasionally as well.  Usually the problem goes away if I close everything up.  Once though this behaviour persisted even after a re-boot, and so I had to create a "new" pb from the same source file.

It just happens. Only fix for right now is to restart Logos.

One question... Are you working with the same document when this happens, or is it with a brand new personal book? In other words, are you working to fix the same book and recompile it several times in a row, or do you compile several different books all in a row?

    Close Logos and restart.

That has been my experience. On Mac, it used to be much worse. I can now sometimes recompile even 10 times without a crash… but sometimes it is still three.

I use a layout named Blank that has no open resources when I want to build a book to avoid the all-too-often error message. When all is well with the build(s) I return to my "Macabee" layout.
