What is your most desired missing feature to be included in the next Mac version?

Fitting for the first post to the Mac forum, what is your most desired missing feature that you would like to have included in the next Mac version?
For me, it is the ability to switch between resources in the same window (like we can do so in the current windows version).

I am thankful to be able to read my resources on my mac, but I miss the notes, mark up, bible reading plan.

If I must choose only one missing feature, I would like to see parallel associations.

Definitely, PRA's.

I would have to agree with Dennis. I am by no means a Bible scholar but I would like the ability to take notes in Logos and be able to search trough them along with the ability to mark up (underline and highlight) along with the bible reading plans. I guess on benefit for me is I've never used the windows version before so I don't know what the mac version is missing.
God Bless

I would prefer that those resources not yet working get fast implementation. Among those is, for example, the Synopsis Quatuor Evangeliorum, something sorely needed.

Bible speed search is one feature I miss most. I'd also like the UI improved some, way too much white space. Need to see verse lists return. Oh wait, did you say just one feature?

Switching between resources with the arrow key, and the ability to import my own sermon files.
Oh and I don't want to be greedy but support for the time line addin would be nice too [:)]

I managed to forget a huge one: printing.

First, and not to be too obnoxious as a first time poster and new user to the app, but this forum is kinda odd. I mean, I just want to post this as another entry in this thread, not as a reply to someone else's entry. But there is no "post comment" or "reply" button, except under someone else's entry. Unless my browser isn't showing it or something, this forum, from a technical standpoint, could be a little easier to use.
Anyway, I would love to see the option to sync the Exegetical Guide and the various Parallel Bible Versions window so that if I update one, the other automatically syncs up to the same place. That would be great for any window that is open to a Biblical text, like commentaries.

OK, I see how it works (the forum). It did what I wanted it to do, but it presented itself in such a way that it appeared like it was going to do something else. Other forum systems (phpBB, vBulletin, etc), when you click on a "Reply" button that is within the div of someone else's post, it replies to that particular post, not the whole topic. Anyway, now I know. Maybe add a Reply button at the top and/or bottom of the page?
OK, I'm done.

simple:
1. Note taking
2. Highlilting--with different colors please
3. intelligent copy/paste-- with unicode support for Hebrew/Greek etc..
4. Reading plan--both Jewish and Christian bibles
5. anything to finish off proper Hebrew support

#1 for me is the linking of resources together (i.e. Strongs resources all change when the number is clicked)
#2 The ability to add notes to a verse.
#3 PBB

I'd like to see access to PBB's added too - have many PBB resources I'd like to use.

These are all great suggestions. Logos does have a deticated email address for this. It is Macfeedback@logos.com.

They also have a dedicated forum :-)Steve Workman said:These are all great suggestions. Logos does have a deticated email address for this. It is Macfeedback@logos.com.

I'm a Pages user (iWork bundle) and would love it if the footnote feature worked when pasting text. It works in Word for Mac, Mellel, but not Pages in iWork '09. Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong or need to change a pref?

I would most like these features added:
- Highlighting … in different colors (I really miss this feature, especially the softer highlighting colors that are available in the Windows version of Logos)
- Note taking … in rich text (like this posting feature)
- Moving from resource to resource in the same window by using right & left arrows
- Intelligent copy & paste w/ footnoting … w/ pasting in to Pages & Word & Open Office
BTW, I very much like the easier, simplified preferences feature in Logos for Mac. It's so much easier to find thing with it's unified & tabbed format rather than the 3 different menu items in the Windows version. Good job on this.
I haven't posted before, but my hearty thanks for a good job so far on Logos for Mac. I was so tired of having to fire up WinXP in Parallels & wait for it to load & deal with all it's quirkiness. Thank you.
(Note: 2 months ago I upgraded to a new unibody MacBook w/ 4 gigs of memory. I also upgrade to Parallels version 4 & reloaded WinXP Pro. The new Parallels upgrade works fabulously in running WinXP. But, I still have not needed to load on my old Logos for Windows because Logos for Mac is doing such a fine job of meeting my needs. I do feel confident that if I come to the point of needing some of the advanced features of Logos for Windows the new Parallels will handle it much better.)
Thanks again for building a new, beautiful Logos for Mac from the ground up. You guys are doing a super job & I praise God for you all! Many blessings!

A Linux port of the Mac program is my most desired missing feature.
Thanks for asking! [:)]

I love Libronix and am very glad to see a Mac version. I would like to see a Bible reading plan like the one on the Windows side.

PBB please
After that, an autoupdate feature within the application for both the application and library files. And also print/export.

Support for Addins - I'd really love to be able to use the Sermon File Addin.

tabs. tabs. tabs. tabs. tabs. tabs pleeeeeaaaasssssssseeeeeee.

I believe pages' format for importing footnotes is significantly different than that of MS Word, from what I've heard at least.

1 - Notes (with links), 2 - Bible Reading Plan, 3 - Customizable Toolbar.
Fewer bugs would be awesome, too.

...are you saying that email is the preferred method to make these suggestions, or is this just FYI? It is helpful for me to see this in a discussion forum, and I hope it is helpful for Logos developers as well.

I'll just repeat what people have said: highlighting (really necessary when reading books with libronix), notetaking feature (I do most of my exegesis with libronix and would like to keep them in one place). Finally, I fully agree with MichaelMiles: we need a linux port (or the ability to do so... I've tried many ways but not luck thus far). Thank you Logos for your great work. I hope you're listening (you've done that quite well so far).

Yes, I definitely agree--I really miss the Bible speed search!

Search by Strongs numbers? Is there already a quick way to do this?

I would like to add that I do miss the home page for collections. Not having access to things like my John Piper sermon Home Page, makes finding his relevant sermons relatively impossible (the time it takes is far too great vs. the return). I would like to be able to gain access to these third party home pages again if possible.

I guess based on some of the other threads, it would be nice to see a resource updater similar to the windows one.

Notes, mark up and bible reading plan.... My thoughts exactly! The notes and mark up tools in QuickVerse and Accordance are really lacking compared to Logos Windows version, which amount to my favorite features of Logos, making it perfect for daily reading and devotions.

Never used the Logos PC version.
Have a feature from Online Bible for Mac (OLB) that is very efficient for me: 'Copy Verses'.
What is so nice is that a straight Command&7 will take me back and forth between a WP and OLB. I can move from the WP at the insertion point I want, and key in the verse and paste it back automatically. The real neat part is if I want a bit of scripture I only have to highlight a bit of a verse or verses, and it will paste in the whole of it. There are also settings to include/exclude footnotes; full of short verse reference; paste reference at front or end etc. It is so smooth. Please make Logos work as smoothly.

One more thing ... the Book Reader. I am missing a lot of important stuff by not having this.

Intelligent copy & paste w/ footnoting - w/ pasting in to Pages & Word & Open Office
(If I need to write up a plan with a bunch of verse quotations, I go back to the Windows version and use the custom bible verse quotation feature from the system tray. I usually like to have the verse pasted with the Book, Chapter & Verse in bold on the first line and then the quotation in its own paragraph. But sometimes I like to change that up. I can't figure out how to do anything like that at all in the Mac version.)
Second runner up for me is being able to quickly change my bible version to a different version without pulling up a second "parallel bible versions" window.

I don't want to sound like a jerk. I really love Logos for Mac, but I really really really hate the icon. I made a version of the purple, blue, green one that anyone can use if you'd like. I know it's not the best, but it looks a lot better on the dock.

Done! Checkout the new update 1.2

It may sound a bit geeky, but I really miss the sentence diagraming tool (unless I am simply unable to locate it). It was nice to diagram and save my work in Logos.
0 -
I will second that sentence diagramming tool. I have been playing with my sermon prep format and I believe this would be more beneficial. I know there are places online that I can do diagram for free (or just using paper and pencil...how neanderthal). In Logos Mac, verse diagramming would be beneficial.

Just got my copy and a few things that make this incomplete - Bookmarks are useful but un-Mac like to update where I am in the book - I would love an icon or keyboard shortcut that is smart enough to know where I am in the book that I opened from the bookmarks to replace that bookmark with the new bookmark - instead of remembering this was bookmark 7 that I need to copy over.
Also just would love a popout window with the bookmarks and notes/highlighting would be amazing - currently using Evernote to fill this hole for now.
I would also love to see a visual way to go through my collections and library kind of like Delicious Library

Printing page ranges and the auto-lookup feature would be very, very, helpful. Navigating thru resources in one window would be nice too...desktop gets cluttered fast--even with a second monitor!
Blessings
