Septuagint and Masoret

Hello

just looking if there is anyone who can tell me what tool to use or what to do if I want to know whether a particular scripture was taken from the septuagint or masoret?

for example "Is.51:17" quoted by Paul in Eph.5:14 and others like that.

Hi John! Welcome to the forums.

Choice of the MT or LXX depends on the translator (presumably english, though the latin would certainly qualify for example).

Which translation are you using? Does it have notes (which normally would indicate use of the LXX if not the default MT).

You mean Bible trans? I use ESV.

I would assume Paul would take it from the LXX bec.of his audience but want to make sure

Esp. OT passages in the book of acts.
