Sorry -- the screen shot didn't make it into the post --Joseph
I’m an intense original biblical language user. Way back (as I have been using Logos for a long time) it used to be that I could set up two columns, one column with my English version of the Bible, and another column with both the NA27 and the LXX in separate tabs, all linked. As I moved from the Old to the New Testament in my English version, the appropriate Greek New (NA27) or Old (LXX) version would pop up automatically. Is there anyway that functionality could be restored to the last updated version of Logos 5? If you look at the image below, at the left 2 columns, you can see that though in Genesis in the English version, we’re still in the NA27 in column one. There was a time when the left column would have immediately shifted to the second tab (Version 4? Version 3? – don’t remember). Is there a way in Logos 5 to get the same functionality? -- Patrick
I usually have the NA27 in one panel with the NRSV linked to it. I also have BHS 4.2 open with the JPS Tanak linked to that. You can throw in the LXX as well if you like linking it to either the Tanak or open a LXX translation and link to that.
I believe you may be interested in what is called "serial resource association" which is in Libronix and now in L5.1. For more info see this post.
So, as you reading in the OT (english) you will have your "linked" LXX (greek) with it, when you move into the NT (english) your "linked" LXX (greek) text will automatically change to your chosen NT (greek) text.
I've set up a series LXX/NA28, here's a screenshot below... you set this up from your library.
just click on the ? to see... png images are still not happening in this forum.
hope this helps

Here's how I do it. First create a new series using the two volumes you want. To try this out with your suggestions, I created a series called OT-NT-manuscript using NA27 and The Old Testament in Greek According to the Septuagint. To do this, I tagged each with a mytag tag called 'manuscript'.
Then I opened the library, and in the search window, I typed mytag:manuscript and all the books I have tagged that way were listed below.
I clicked on NA27 (A), then CTRL-clicked on OTGAS (B).
In the sidebar, where it says 'Set series for all', I clicked that and typed in my series name: 'OT-NT-manuscript' (C).
Then I closed all.
Now, I opened my ESV on the left half of the screen, and either one of the two books in the new series in the right half. (In this case, I opened NA27.)
Then, I set the linkset for each (bible and manuscript) to the same letter (D and E).
Then I typed 'Mark' into the bible search box, and both the bible and NA27 went to Mark.
Then I typed 'Exodus' into the bible search window (G), and Exodus opened in the bible, and the manuscript window switched from NA27 to OTGAS automatically, and opened to Exodus.
I think this is what you want.
HTH.
