Default Layout

Hi there,

Is there any way of changing the default layout at all? I keep having to maximize the layout each time after I open a book and the software never seems to remember that the only way I read when I open is to have a whole screen layout instead of half the screen! I've searched quite a bit to find a way of changing the default mode but not found any :-(

Is this in Logos 4, Logos 5 or on the mobile apps?

Assuming Logos 4 / 5 how are you opening the layout? Are you using the Layout menu or entering a passage on the HomePage and clicking "Go"?

I think he means that when he has an empty screen and just opens a book, it always opens to a half-screen panel, and he has to drag to get it to fill the whole screen.

I also use a full-screen panel as often as possible, so I have the same problem.

No, there's no setting, unfortunately, but there are at least two workarounds:

Instead of just clicking to open a book, click-and-drag it towards the middle of the screen. Release when the whole screen is blue.
Click on Layouts, look for the tiny '1 Tile' icon at the top left corner, and drag it to the shortcut bar. Now you can click on that to get a full-screen panel/tile, which is easier than enlarging an already open panel. (A warning, though: if you click that when you have multiple tabs open, the tabs might reorder themselves.)

Hello there,

First of all so sorry for not replying earlier - I kept following this by mail and dropped out of my radar! Thanks for the response - yes, I meant Logos 5 on Mac in particular, but the problem is more general as fgh noted- thanks for the workaround,wasn't aware of the shortcut available, does make it more convenient!

Yeah, that's about the only way to do it, I think they assume (usually correctly) that most of the time people don't have just one pane open in L5.
