Over the years I have used a straight ruller to connect words or phase when study. Is it possible to add this capability or is it already available?
Thanks

It looks like your post count got reset. Change your email address?
By "connect words or phrases," I assume these aren't necessarily words or phrases that are always side by side, right? I don't think there is a way to connect units which are separated. There are some inductive highlighters, but I don't think that would accomplish what you are asking.
Email address change. Is your question important? I really do not understand the question. What is the significance of message count?
Separately, you are correct in that I was trying to connect phrase or passages within a chapter. Example would be connecting the ideas/teaching/concepts found in Hebrews 10, 11 and 13(?) under my study on "citizenship" as a heading starting at 10:34 to 11:13 and 14, to 11:16 to 11:39 and finally 13:14.
While I am writting, it be helpful if we had the capability to place shapes (circles and spheres that can be stretched as in Word and other word processors) around words and phases to connect to others with similar meaning within a chapter. I have heard the standard answer on questions of this nature "we do not want to be a word process software". I do understand the idea or cost and limited resources but .... what I am getting at, I hope, is improving the Logos software as a study tool which would include improved visual tools.
Words of Christ in Red what a great idea. [:)]
Thank you for your patience, and understand my intent is to add ideas for improving.

It's not currently available, but you could add a suggestion for it on UserVoice and encourage people to vote for it by talking it up here (with a link) on the forums.
For now, the best you can do is create several different unique highlighting styles, e.g., different colored boxes around the text, and then apply the same style to the words or phrases that you want to be connected for study. Your eye will see the relationship between them because they've got the same color boxes around them, even if there is no line between them.
One technical difficulty with providing the capability of drawing lines to connect different words or phrases that are non-contiguous is that Logos books get their text laid out fresh depending on what size window they are opened in, and what view options you have turned on (e.g., multiple columns). If you resize the window, the word-wrapping will change, just like in a word processor. So if you had drawn a line between two words or phrases that were one line apart and now change the window size to make it wider and those words are now on the same line together, the line will not be in the right place anymore. There are probably ways to solve this (have the line be generated by the relative positions of the items you decide to connect with it, rather than by you drawing it specifically where you want it to be), but it's not trivial, either to make the User Interface intuitive to use, or to program this.
However it's a great idea, and I'd encourage you to go ahead and post it.
You can do what you want in the sentence diagramming tool ... it works reasonably well for short passages.
None at all. It was late for me, sorry I didn't make that clear. I was just noting that you are not a newbie. [:)]
(You can request that Logos adjust your post count if you'd like... It's not really a big deal, but helps others to remember who you are).
I am quite sure that Logos has much more capability than I have user knowledge. Have a restful night. It is midnight here in Australia.
Words of Christ in Red what a great idea.
Are you proposing/requesting that it would be a great idea, or praising the fact that it's already there? Couldn't tell what implication your smiley had on the statement. It sounded like a bit of humor/sarcasm.
Anyway, they do already have that feature. It's in Tools > Program Settings:
