So if you have dozens of books you want to buy you can prioritize the top ones and then when you get your Christmas bonus you know which ones to spend it on.

I'm guessing it is mostly for the marketing department. They like to know who wants what, and how much they want it.
I've often wondered with other companies (not Logos) if putting an item on a wishlist will keep you from getting targeted sale offers on that item.
I like the new priority feature for wish lists. It helps sort them and it also helps the Logos marketers to know what our priorities are.
my guess is: it helps with the black friday wish list offer?
