SUGGESTION: Opening lectionary from home page

I love that both the lectionary and the Missal open ... I haven't tried the BCP. However, there's a tweak (okay, a big tweak) I'd like. I'd prefer to see the lectionary based commentary open rather than my standard commentaries e.g. The Lectionary Commentary, Feasting on the Word, ... Not as important, it would be nice to be able to prioritize a different set of Bibles for the lectionary than for general study - what I really want of the default lectionary page are the permissible lectionary translations world wide.

I am also interested in this feature. I am a Southern Baptist pastor who has used the lectionaries as a preaching resource for Advent in the past. I am also experimenting with the idea of preaching through the church year with a lectionary. I am curious about the idea of a Baptist lectionaries as well.

good suggestion. As a workaround I customized my own saved layout. I only need to update the date to 'today' whenever I open the layout instead of clicking on the lectionary.
