Can one setup L5 in Mac, then install L5 in a Parallels window setup? Would doing such duplicate resources OR can they both use the same resources? New to Mac (in fact, waiting for it to be delivered) and pretty much clueless at this point.

Are you using a Mac with Retina Screen?
I have been running L5 for Mac and L5 for Windows under Parallels for a long time on my old MacBookPro 17".
Recently, I upgraded to a MacBookPro 15" Retina and Parallels 9. My VM for Windows 8.1 runs beautifully, however, VM for Windows 7 has some problem with Retina Resolution

It definitely works, even with 4GB Ram, but a lot better and faster with 8GB Ram. (MacBook Pro 2.3 Ghz, i5, 8GB, 1333Mhz DDR 3 [third party Ram]) But! As was just stated: all your Resources will be duplicated.

Thanks for the thoughts. I have only played with L5 on the mac for 2 days now. Seems ok with the typical problems that have been reported here. I have a couple of other programs that have no Mac equivalent so will also do Parallels... Would be nice if I could figure out how to share the resources.

Technical challenge for sharing resource files is updating indexes in all Logos & Verbum installations when a resource has been added or updated.
Had not launched L5 under Parallels and Windows 7 in a few months. Launched it today to update Logos. In the process noted that a layout with two floating windows on the secondary display had serious problems. The upper third of both windows were missing, and they did not respond to any mouse click. Everything on the main display worked flawlessly. Floating windows created on the main display and moved to the secondary display worked as expected.
Also noted that L5 only updated to 5.2 rather than to 5.2 SR-1.
The layout with the problematic floating windows had been created in L5 Mac. Had too many other things to do to pursue this problem further. May try later.

I have not done any scientific measurements, If you have some specifics scenarios, I can do a comparison for you [:)] ... Observing as a user of Logos 5 for Mac and Windows 8.1 (under Parallels 9.0) on the same MacBookPro, I do not notice any deferences in terms of performance / response time.
I am very happy with the Performance of Parallels (I jump-ship from Fusion since Parallels 4.0 ... all the way to 9.0), my issues with Virtual Machine are (i) it drains (relative) battery and (ii) takes up precious disk space of about 70 GB for my VM from my 500GB SSD.

Thanks for this info. Due to problems with L5 on my MacBook Pro, I contemplated buying Parallels and running L5 in Windows. But I started to love my batterie life of 8+ hours, so Parallels would reduce this. I might just hang in there and hope that L5 gets more stable on Mac.

As in many things in cyberlife, your mileage may vary. I installed Fusion 6.0 on a one month free trial basis on my new MacBook Pro. It runs Windows 8.1 fine, but, as with Parallels, it drains the battery more quickly. However, as I have had zero problems with L5 on Mac so far, I haven't tried to install L5 on my virtual machine. In fact, I find I don't use Windows much at all. I may be one of the lucky ones, but so far L5 for Mac has been very good. The only thing I've noticed is that L5 takes a little more time to boot up on Mac than it did on my Windows laptop before.
