How to start morph search

Studying Luke 2:6, I'd like to find all occurences of "ἐν τῷ" followed by infinitive. I tried morph search:

"ἐν τῷ" + @V??N (Search All Morph Tekst in Luke-Acts in Lexham SGNT (SBLGNT) with Logos Greek Morphology)

However, the result is not good. What might be a better searchformula?

Hi Johan and welcome to the forums.

Have you thought of simply searching the entire NT in this way?

"ἐν τῷ εἶναι" (4 times only in Luke - Luke 2:6; 5:12; 9:18; 11:1)

The formula I now use is this: "ἐν τῷ" BEFORE 1 WORD @V??N

Another problem was I used Lexham Syntactic Greek NT, but now I use The Greek NT: SBL Edition, with complete different results and much better (what is wrong with Lexham?).

The search makes clear that Maria got her Son not 'at the moment' they came in Bethlehem, but 'while' they were there (for some time).

Interesting - If I use "BEFORE 1 WORD" I don't get any results

I don't know but I get the same problem with no results when using Lexham SGNT SBL Edition (or the non-SBL edition)

I don't know but I get the same problem with no results when using Lexham SGNT SBL Edition (or the non-SBL edition)

Looking at this further it looks like it is something to do with the "ἐν τῷ" construct with only one match for that in the entire Testament

In this verse the two words are in the same clause - in the hits in the post above on the other resource the two words are in separate clauses.

I am assuming that this is making the difference and for some reason Lexham SGNT is only matching word pairs if they are within the same clause.

Hopefully someone will be able to comment on this

Sorry, commenting again on my earlier post.

The Lexham Greek-English Interlinear New Testament returns results as expected.

It looks as though trying to do a search against the "Syntactic" variants break when run across clauses.
