What kind of Tablet is best

I have a Bronze package on my desktop (Logos 5). I love the power and the functionality.

I am contemplating getting an IPAD or PC TABLET so I can take Logos 5 with me. I have no idea where to start in looking at which way is best.

I would like to have a tablet or IPAD that I can download the majority of my logos library for portable use. I have wifi at home and work so that is another way to go. I just want to know what kind of tablet or IPAD to get, what operating system, how much memory would be good to get, etc...

Any ideas?

I hate to say this, but I think you want a MSFT Surface Pro 2. It seems that you are wanting to run the desktop app... Which means you will need a desktop computer. That eliminates an iPad, Android, or the cheaper windows tablets (which run a crippled version of windows).

Some other thoughts:

If you really only want the best device for reading... Get an iPad. If you have good internet/wifi, forget about downloading most of your resources and just use the cloud. Only download what you need. As for operating system, apple only has one... updates are free and you should always update until you no longer can.
If you get a full windows tablet, note that you will need a very large HD space. You will be downloading ALL of your resources (you don't have a choice) just as you do on your desktop or laptop (you would be running L5, not a mobile app). Also note: Logos 5 isn't designed for a tablet with a touch interface. Some users seem to love it, but others have difficulties.

As an unashamed Mac user I will chip in if I may?

Tablets and computers are always a bit of 'horses for courses'.

If you really do want the Logos Desktop experience on a small portable device the MacBook Air is the way to go. But really the desktop experience is not reproducible on a small format. I use a two screen set up with a 27in and 24in link display and often run out of space.

A good complement to a desktop computer is the iPad which has an app that does make reading, accessing resources, and some study available to the mobile user. It does not pretend to give a desktop experience - but is in itself a great tool.

Be very careful not to buy one tool and expect it to do a different job. This really is a time to go to the store and look at what you want. I am sure that an Apple store assistant will let you download the Logos app to one of their display iPads so that you can see what you are getting. If you log into your account be sure to delete the app before leaving the store.
