Logos not able to install an update

When starting Logos, it gives an error message 'the program or feature [...LogosSetup.exe] cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bits Windows compatible version is available.'

Then, after starting, Logos gives the 'An update is ready to be installed' bar, but when I click to install, it doesn't respond.

I am a "Mac only" user and don't use windows... I <think> I read that this issue was related to something called "running in compatibility mode." Does that ring a bell?

I'm not sure why this is happening, but you can accomplish the update directly by running Setup from this link. But make sure that neither Logos nor the Indexer are running.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your help but unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. When I run the LogosSetup file, it shows a 'Please wait while Setup download files' for a few seconds, but then the window disappears and nothing happens. And I'm still getting the same message when opening Logos.

No, 'running in compatibility mode' doesn't ring any bells for me.

If Dave didn't comment on my "compatibility mode" suggestion, he was probably just being gracious to the Mac guy. [;)]

FWIW - I read a couple of threads and "compatibility mode" is something that should be turned off. Again, this may or may not have anything to do with your issue. [:S]

Thanks for your clarification. 'compatibility mode' is turned off and if I understand you correctly it should remain turned off. Which means that this wasn't the problem. Any other suggestions?
