Is there a way to automatically create a list of all Bible references from a textbook in my Logos 5 library?
Yes - but you need to be able to select the text in it. Left-click at the beginning of a section, scroll down to the end and then shift-left-click to select it all.
Then you can create a Passage List from the selected text which should give you what you want
I was hoping not to have to manually select each Bible reference (or manually deselect everything surrounding each Bible reference) throughout the entire textbook. That would take a very long time. I was hoping Logos 5 provides a quick way to create a list of all the Bible references within the entire textbook, especially since each Bible reference is a link to the Bible text.
Hi Frank
Sorry I wasn't clear.
I think my suggestion above does exactly what you are looking for
In the screenshot below I selected a paragraph from a resource (highlighted) and then used the "Add selected text" option I mentioned above
As you can see it just adds the Bible references within the highlighted passage
Does this help?
Graham
Yes, thank you! That does help! However, Logos 5 doesn't allow me select very much text at one time (maybe only a few screens worth). Is there a way I can select an entire chapter of a text book (or even the entire textbook)?

Yes, that is the challenge - there does seem a relatively small limit.
I expect its due to copyright issues - not enabling someone to simply take an entire textbook and export into a word processor.
Sorry I don't know of any way to extend the range - it would be useful in this situation.
Maybe Logos 5 has another way of selecting all of the LINKS contained in an entire textbook?
I have an idea. What about "printing" the book to a word doc, then importing the verses to the passage list from the word doc file? I think you would be limited to 100 pages of the book ... but that would be much quicker.
Turning off SmartSelect (either in settings, or temporarily by holding CTRL whilst you select) should enable you to select much larger chunks. You need a bit of patience whilst scrolling, but you can easily select whole chapters, or even the entire book if you wish. I've created word lists of the whole Bible with that method.
