Logos Bible Software 5.2 SR-5 (5.2.0.0121) - Freezes - Windows 8.1

For the last few days Logos has been freezing on my well not just Logos it actually causes the system to freeze. I have to Ctrl - Alt - Del then navigate with the arrows and tab keys because the mouse is non functional, and I stop the Logos program by ending it in task manager. I have attached my log files and seminary started again today so I was hoping for some help. Anyone else having this issue.

For future reference, please attach the error file, rather than copy/pasting the contents. Use the paperclip icon to do that.

The error file doesn't usually tell us much. In this case, it says there's a problem retrieving a list of groups (I assume Faithlife groups?). This makes me wonder whether Logos can start in off-line mode. Have you tried that (hold the CTRL key down as Logos is starting and find the appropriate check box).

Another thing to try is to go to Control Pannel > Programs and Features find the Logos entry, right-click and select "Repair."

If that doesn't work enable diagnostic logging by following the instructions here: http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

Then post all the logs by following the instructions here: http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs

wow, this seems scary. God bless it for you. I hope when I do my install on my new Surface Pro this doesnt happen.

Thanks for your help I tried the repair but it did not help and after a little more research I found a command to rebuild index and that fixed it.
