BUG: Infinitely repeatable PB failure.

Totally off topic: today's newspaper has an article on why the sum of all natural numbers to infinite equals -1/12.  This is being ignored for the purpose of titling the thread.

Real problem: Whenever I fire off a second PB while Logos 5 is still indexing earlier PB's, the compile fails on the error of being unable to remove the old copy. If I have created the error, it will not disappear when the indexing is complete - rather I must restart Logos.

Thanks, MJ. You may have figured out what triggers this bug that many of us Mac folks (but seldom PC users) have complained about regularly for a long time. I don't think any of us have reported that it happens only when starting "a second PB while Logos 5 is still indexing earlier PB's". I haven't tested it yet, but it sounds very plausible. Everyone I can think of that's complained either has/had an older computer, or an awful lot of PB's. And Mac's seem to index slower than PC's. Logos' testers, on the other hand, use fast computers with a probably limited amount of PB's, so they probably don't encounter that scenario unless they deliberately recreate it.

Let's hope you're right, and that Logos can now finally find a fix for this.

We have an active case for this issue. I'll add a link to this thread.

Mathematics is getting weird when one can make a case for this value and physics must be in a mess if it uses this (in the real world a divergent series like 1 + 2 +3 + 4 + 5 ... summed to infinity does not have a finite result). But it must be refreshing to know that an infinitely repeatable event can have a finite result[:D]

This should be fixed in 6.1 Beta 1.
