SUGGESTION: Implement Speed Reading Tech in Logos

This technology looks like it would be a big help for Logos users considering the massive size of our libraries. I would love to see Logos implement some sort of reading speed technology into the program, whether this or something else.

I agree. I sort of read slow anyway, And have literally thousands of books on my to read list.

Yes, I'm in favour of this - it could work really well for me, it would be OK that it requires attention.
I need to read more in front of the computers. Having only the tablets as a solution for reading more is not the ultimate solution for me - currently I spend too much time away from the Bible Study softwares, one of which I can't even use on (either of my two identical) the tablets since I don't have an iPad. With Bible Study softwares I use my books more properly. I use the tablets usually only when going away from my home, it rarely happens that I use a tablet in my bed. I carry either of my laptops with me several times a week. Currently the uni library is being re-built so there's way too few places where to sit in this uni of over 60,000 students, when that is done I will have better chances to sit there with a laptop, or in the central city where they also have places where to sit (which is not being re-built but which I suppose is somewhat occupied during the construction work in the uni).
A little bit of extra incentive to read on the computer would work miracles for me. I hope this feature, if implemented in the future, would be made available as a separately paid add-on, I'm not going to buy any L6 Minimal Crossgrade and I'm very unlikely to upgrade to a base-package. An L6 Core Datasets might be interesting if it would contain necessities for a low price.

Wow! This looks really interesting! I love reading but I'm a super slow reader, and it seems that this would be great, at the very least to try out and see how practically helpful it is. I always thought speed reading was a bit of a joke cause you couldn't retain anything. I never knew all these conceptual and functional aspects of reading or that it was that much of a science! Maybe this actually can work...

I just came to the forum to post this suggestion - glad someone else already did! There are chrome extensions and iOS apps that do this too - would love to see it implemented in Logos

Danny, I search in the iOS app store for "Spritz" and couldn't find any match. Can you tell me what other app(s) provide this speed reading feature?
thanks,
Peter

outread is the app

It is just for web reading (I use it for my Pocket saved docs). It would be too much time to get stuff out of Logos and into that. Just pointing it out as an example that I hope Logos will pick up on. It would be great throughout their line of products

Yes, it would be really cool and useful if Logos could license this technology from Spritz and put it into the Logos desktop software and/or the mobile apps. Many of us have huge Logos libraries with a ton of unread books, and anything that helps us read through more books in a shorter time is great.
