Integrating Spritz technology for Logos

I came across this site yesterday http://www.spritzinc.com/ and was sold on the idea. Then I instantly thought to myself, Logos needs to integrate this technology into its software. If I could read books in my Logos library at 400+ words per minute with the help of this software, that would be a wonderful thing.

The technology is still in development, but it sounds like there are groups already partnering with them to bring this format to the user.

I agree 100%, Scott. I also thought about the Logos software and Logos app when I read what Spritz was up to. It could help us digest a lot of our books in Logos faster with this technology built into a Logos app.

I agree that this would be so cool especially if we could get in the apps first to try out. I'm sure that adding this to the Apple and Android Apps would be a lot simpler than integrating it into the main program.

I would really like this as well! I just came across the Spritz website and thought about what possibilities there would be to get this working for my theology reading. I've been interested in speed-reading for a while now, because I normally don't read that fast. But speed reading takes a lot of time and discipline to really learn and keep up. So it would really be great if Logos would be able to implement this in the near future, and would certainly convince me buying even more books digitally than "offline". Thanks for posting!

When I saw it, I remember thinking I saw it before years ago... and I think I remember seeing something similar on Bob's twitter (though I may be mistaken). He was (if I remember) simply commenting on the technology. Anyone else remember seeing this a long time ago?

They do now, but I can't preload a big section on biblia. Just a page at a time and bible references are jarring.

I've been using Spritz to read many of long online news articles at 500 WPM and my comprehension is really good, but I found that I still use "subvocalization" - saying words in my head, even at this speed. that's weird.

So according to the Spritz website (http://www.spritzinc.com/), they are integrating their technology with reading apps. Scroll down a little bit and you can see the first app that has the feature, along with a comment from Spritz telling users to contact Apple and Amazon and request they add them to their apps.

I have yet to try it for more then a few seconds, but my friend used it today and was able to read 30 pages of a novel in 6 minutes with excellent comprehension. That's pretty cool.

Just from that, I think it would be great to have this feature in the Logos app! I think this would be very useful for those who do a lot of reading, rather then studying. I'd gladly pay for the integration too.

It does look like a great product and I'd like to be able to try it out with a book I really want to read.

I didn't have any trouble at 600 wpm, although I don't think that would be the speed I'd use regularly.

There needs to be an easy way to pause that. A few seconds of inattention at 600 wpm and you loose a lot.
