Spiros Zodhiates Not avilable on my iPad?

I purchased years ago the, "The Complete Word Study..." three book series from Spiros and Baker and in the past they were available on the iPad, but now they are gone. What's up?

Also When selecting a word on the iPad app it used to allow me to search my dictionaries for the Strongs number in that resource. Now I believe all I have is the number, a Hebrew or Greek word and no ability to jump to the dictionary reference. Am I missing something?

These two issues greatly reduce, for me at least, the usefulness of iPad app for serious study work. If I can't easily reference and jump to another publication basically all I have is an advanced book reader and I can use iBooks of Kindle for that work.

Logos doesn't list it as mobile enabled. Are you saying you had access to it previously? If so, when did you buy it? FYI - Logos philosophy is that you should have access to all of your resources on every platform... But the publisher must agree.

I have those resources but did not purchases them in that bundle. As I stated I have been using logos for over 10 years and began when it was Libronix. The Spiros and Baker Word Word study books was a primary reason a started with Logos. It was available on the earliest iPad apps, think iPad 1, when the first apps became available for them. Only recently, after Logos 5 was made available on my my computer and the updates to iPads did it drop off the resource availability for mobile.

Best answer, I purchased these resources from Logos over 10 years ago. They still come up in my computer library after all these years but now not iPad or IPhone.

It is available for your iPAD on Olivetree, if it is really important for you to have it on your iPad. I use it a fair bit myself but then i consider my primary iPad Bible to be my OT, but then again I have been an OT user since 2002 and only a Logos user since 2006.

Were you using the resource regularly and it just disappeared... or did you just notice it recently because you haven't used it in a while?

I would have no expectations that resources that old would be available on mobile... but many are! I don't know if the resource was ever sold as mobile enabled... But it is apparently not the case at present. Like I said, the publisher must agree. In some cases, the publisher would like the end user to make two separate purchases... One license for desktop, another for mobile.

I looked at OT when I switched from Windows to OSx and iOS a few years ago. The problem is I have a lot of money invested in my logos library and I could not find a way to transfer the books over to the OT apps. I like Logos 5 much better than 4 on OSx but find the current version of the iPad app lacking and actually awkward to use compared to the older versions. It used to have links from the Strongs numbers to the appropriate dictionaries, but those are gone now. They did add a powerful Word study except it will only compare verses of using the selected English words and not the original underlying languages, pretty much worthless for study.

Oh well I was hoping for some help for these books and features I seem to be missing or overlooking.

I am unaware of any changes. The mobile app development is independent of the desktop, and there weren't any changes really during the L4/L5 transition. You might get more help for this specific issue by starting a new thread. Which resources are you using?

My answer is only a wild guess.

Spiros Zodhiates passed in 2009. Could it be the new copyright holder objects to iOs access? We saw a somewhat similar situation with the original Barclay's Daily Study Bible. The original release of Bible Essentials preceded the development of the iOs app. There was probably a gentleman's agreement for iOs access. Only Logos knows for sure and they usually don't talk about it.

Other possibility: since the author's passing, there may be revisions in progress, and new negotiations are slated for that release.

There have been mistakes before... both ways (resources not mobile enabled that should have been and vice versa).
