Inspirational stories

2 Corinthians 12:9-11
I'm looking for suggestions on books/articles/whatever (in the Logos echo system) that illustrate how God uses the weak (the least) to show his glory and how everyone has a purpose. Mainly to show how Christian hope is the antidote to despair.
Preferably with real life examples, (good examples like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL_t-sbBlJQ) but in story/book form.
Testimonials are ok, but they need to be good (and please: not conversion stories from one denomination to another!). What is the most inspirational testimonial you've read? Your own can be helpful too, if you have it written or blogged about it somewhere
Also how would you do a search in your Logos library to find similar inspirational stories?
Thanks

Searching Library for resources with real in title finds many resources:
Vyrso has more "real" resources => https://vyrso.com/products/search?q=title%3Areal&start=0&sort=rel&pageSize=45
than Logos => https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=title%3Areal&start=0&sort=rel&pageSize=30
Searching library for title:heaven also finds a number of resources:
Vyrso has more "Heaven" titles => https://vyrso.com/products/search?q=title%3Aheaven&start=0&sort=rel&pageSize=60
than Logos => https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=title%3Aheaven&start=0&sort=rel&pageSize=60

I'd try a sermon starter on hope and see what illustrations come up
Collection "Illustrations, Anecdotes, Quotes, & Stories" includes many of the preaching resources in Sermon Starter Guide.

The best one I can think of is unfortunately not in Logos. The Shaming of the Strong by Sarah Williams. It's precisely about how God uses the weak (the least) to show his glory and how everyone (even an unformed child who is not going to survive birth) has a purpose. It's a phenomenal book, very powerful. It would make an excellent Vyrso book. I'm going to suggest it.

Cool! Regent? Your comment somehow made the book more appealing than it already was.Rosie Perera said:BTW, it is a true story/memoir. I know the author.

Yup, she's a professor of history there. Used to teach at Oxford, where she was when the events in the book took place.
