The last few days each of the bible verses offered on Biblia.com have come with a Faithlife copyright line.

It distracting and detracts from the artistry IMO.

Do we have permission to copy these slides for public use without restriction or payment?

What restrictions does this copyright impose?

How are you using the images? How do you want to use them?

I agree that the images look better without the copyright, but with the art being so widely distributed and re-used we wanted to have some way to connect people back to the source -- where they can find other verses, and maybe check out Logos products.

We're still working through this, and I hope to have places where our customers can get non-watermarked versions (in Proclaim, for example, and possible inside Logos Bible Software itself). Your input would be very helpful.

I may be Logos #1 fan. I love it and tell anyone who will listen all about it. When I display the images I take any opportunity to talk about Logos, who generously provides them.

I use the images in my home on a large screen (as an evangelistic message to many visitors) and in various countries as Bible School and Seminar teaching material--mainly as backgrounds for my computer, powerpoint, or other similar presentations.

I understand why Logos would use the watermark, but for my purposes I want the message to be the content of the text in the environment of art without making peoples eyes dart off to see an advertisement in the corner. We live in an internet world full of adverts and they are generally annoying--not the message I want when sharing these images.

I am very grateful for the images. Just stating a preference.

We use some slides pre-service.

Occasionally we use the less-ornate artwork during the service between worship songs for group reading.

The most powerful advertising I know of is fanatic fanware. Some of us wear Logos T shirts, and ball caps. .... Drink our coffee from Logos thermal mugs. ...sit in coffee shops engrossed in Bible study on machines that were bought for the primary purpose of running THE software. (Note that the machine is adorned with a pretty blue decal.) People in the market for the best Bible software will be influenced much more by that optic, ....than a cheesy watermark that seems to reflect the same corporate greed displayed by every other modern company. I have no idea how you protect your images from piracy. I only know the images now offer a completely different Message than before the copyright. For the record, I have removed the verse of the day app, and have found my coffee tasting better in a plain white cup. Sorry if I seem blunt. You did ask.

I would like to see high resolution versions available within Logos/Verbum. The copyright notice doesn't bother me - it might in Proclaim depending on how it scales.

I use several of these images for my desktop screen, and I have absolutely no problem with the copyright watermark in the lower right corner. Although I must admit that it does make pirating the image a bit more difficult, I cannot see any other reason to object to this [8-|]

Originally we didn't have any branding on the images at all. But we started seeing them all over the web, and being used in various places without our permission or knowledge. On the one hand it's great that people like them and find them useful... but on the other hand, it costs money (every day!) to make new ones, deliver them, etc. and if people literally don't know where they're from there is no benefit or compensation on the horizon for the company.

So we're trying the watermark for a while simply so people will know where the image is from, and where to go to get more.

We have a few places/sizes available without the watermark (http://blog.biblia.com) and we're looking at ways to make non-watermarked versions available to Logos base package users (and Proclaim users), who've 'already paid us' at least once.

It's your work...copyright it! I wouldn't like for someone to use one of my charts as their own and what's worse, for others to think it was someone else's work and not mine. Now, if all those could be available in Spanish, that would be great also and don't forget to include "Derechos reservados©Sofware Bíblico Logos" in them.

to me the copyright watermark is waaay too OBNOXIOUS..

its should one or the other, either the logo or the name, not both. (plus both too big for me)

ever since the watermark changed I stopped using it publicly, I feel like TOO MUCH ADVERTISEMENT.

While I like an unhindered view of the art, I do agree it should definitely be watermarked. However, after flipping through a number of the images, I also agree that the logo along with to the biblescreen.com/copyright is a bit much. I'd rather see just the biblescreen.com/copyright. Or maybe a merge of the two...

Doesn't seem to be working at all now for a few days, so it doesn't matter, logo or not.
