I am dismayed that we can turn off everything but the advertisements on the home page in the Android app. I don't want to see advertisements I am not asking for.

I believe this is a design decision by Logos.
Hopefully someone from the team will comment further.
I fully understand that Logos wants ads there since it is a free item but for people who have a logos base package it would be nice if they offered an option for turning off the ads.

I think that's a good idea. I got my $15,000 package for free, so it's perfectly reasonable to see a few ads (for free books).
But for the few that paid, probably 'no-ads' would make sense.
I'm going to take this discussion up again internally. Thanks for the feedback!

I am happy with things on the iOS side (other than greater offline support is always a good idea)... but hope every Logos user can have the best experience possible.
I personally like to get Logos ads. How else am I going to know when there are good deals to take advantage of? However, if someone gets hot and chafey when exposed to ads, it might be worth giving them an On-Off switch.
But what do I know? I use a flip phone.
I don't mind the ads, but I do wish that they auto expired after a period. I don't use Logos all that often on my phone, but when I do I have an obscene number of news items to dismiss from the app.
Since I use my tablet everyday, it's not so bad to read and/or dismiss an item. But when there is a backlog it's more annoying than it is a problem.
