Not exactly a beta problem. Was stopping another program (Logmein) and ever since Logos has trouble updating/downloading books.
Have used the bits trick found here https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/firewall and restarted the software. Usually restarting the computer solves the problem. Now Windows Security essentials is not updating. What feature in Windows needs to be changed.

Have you tried Bitsadmin /reset, followed by running Windows Update?
I had problems yesterday with both getting logos to recognize that there were new purchases to download and the forums. Non logos sites seemed to be ok. Maybe related?
Even Bits was hanging. Eventually I found a support page on Microsoft's site and stopped a few other sections of the software. I may have disallowed one section of the software in the Firewall also.
