Bug: Bible reading bug

When reading ahead of schedule in my Reading Plan. Periodically it looses track of the end of the days reading mark. i.e. today I read 3 days worth and had to go back to my home page and find my schedule and click of the 2 days already read.

I've had the same thing happen to me on a number of occasions. In the end I've discovered that it was not the fault of the program but rather that I didn't fully understand it. My reading plan is chronological so it does jump around and it is easy not to pay attention to the reference I am reading. My experience has been that sometimes doing my reading it moves a bit up or down and I miss the indicator as to where to read. To solve this I make sure that I pay attention to the exact passage the plan tells me to read so I know where to stop.

Your experience may be different but this has helped me.

I am certain that I watch for my end of day/reading markers. And it doesn't happen often. But happen it does.

I'm into my 6th circuit and ran into this phenomena some versions back.

I should add (maybe help time lines) I finished a cover to cover on the end of June. Sometimes reading 3 to 4 days worth per day.

I don't recollect it happening during that period. ???

However in the month of July it's happened 2 times. [+o(]

I hope ya'all don't think its critical to me. It's just a bug. And I hope someone in the HO is reading this. It's every-bodies good.

And yes it is the Chronological reading, but that shouldn't matter.

Hi Rick,

Looking into this, I believe this is caused by creating Reading Plans for ranges that have fewer passages than the selected length for the plan. So (for example) a Bible range of 40 verses with a length of 45 days. In this case, we "fill" 5 of those days with an "empty" session. When you're reading along in the resource and encounter an empty session, the "Start/Stop reading" visual filter doesn't display properly, which I believe is the behavior you're seeing.

We have an active case for this issue, but unfortunately I don't have an ETA at this point on when a fix will be implemented. We are aware of it, and thanks for the report! I've added a link to this thread, so when it gets taken care of, we'll let you know! [:)]
