Error: Key not valid for use in specified state

Hi,

I started to get this error when installing the latest update. Logos shut down and then each time I run Logos it said there is an update to install and I get the same error again.

I have tried uninstalling Logos and the prerequisites and now the re-installation is failing with the same error.

Can someone please help?

This error has been reported on the forums a couple of times but I haven't seen any resolution there.

The advice in those threads - and the best advice I can think of - is to contact Logos Technical Support and see if they can help.

Update: It was not a Logos issue as I had the same message when installing other software. It could have been linked to a problem with MsiInstaller but in any case, I ended up having to re-install Windows and all my software.

I had the same issue (it showed up while trying to update Logos and also iTunes). I found this response on the forums at techguy.com. It involved uninstalling one windows update. I did it and was able to update Logos right away.
