Bug(?): ESV Narrator unable to ReadAloud across Chapters

Hi,
I was trying to use the ReadAloud feature to read the entire Book of 1 Thessalonians for me. However, David Cochran Heath would only read Chapter 1 ... the System Narrator takes over from there to read the rest of the book.
Is there some work around so that I can read the entire book with David Cochran Health?
Thanks
PS: The same problem exists in Logos 5 for Mac & Windows 5.2b SR-3

thanks. I keep having this issue also. Must be a more recent glitch. I find hearing and reading together is very useful.

This also occurs in 2 Corinthians 3 & 4. Maybe more, but it occurs here at least.
It is interesting - if you page or manually change the verse number, it begins reading correctly again, although the circle and auto scrolling stops.

I used my McCheyne reading plan to skip around. The problem seems to be from 2 Corinthians onward, although it may not be always consistent.

I am also having this problem after Acts chapter 1, when it goes to the 2nd chapter it it stops using the ESV narrator and goes to the system narrator. not sure how far this continues, I know at least chapter 3 and 4, have not tested it further. I have tried the Logos 5 android app and it works fine in this area of the Bible. So it seems this is just a problem on the PC.

Same is true in the book of Acts, chapter 1 is fine and then switches over to the system narrator. Even starting the reading in chapter 2 it only works with the system narrator. PC specific though, android app works fine in this area of the Bible.

Does switching narrators every chapter provide a work around ? (switch to System Narrator followed by switch to David Cochran Heath)
Keep Smiling [:)]

Just typing in the chapter verse fixes it for me with the exception that the auto scroll stops working.

I just tried switching to the system narrator and then back to David immediately after the error occurs the first time. This works as well except for losing auto scrolling.

I am also experiencing this problem. It seems to have started after 5.2b sr-3 install. The read aloud works on mobile devices just fine, but not on 5.2b sr-3. It works fine on sr-2. (I still have a computer that has this installed) Something with sr-3 has broken this.

Do we know where this is on the list of bugs to be fixed? This is still an issue ... at least for me. Has it been replicated at Logos?

Any word on how this is coming along, if it is expected to be resolved soon? I find when this happens, if I let the system reader read the first two verses of a chapter, hit the "Ctrl R" to stop it and then "Ctrl R" to restart it, then it will work with ESV narrator for the rest of the chapter, However when it starts a new chapter I have to go over these steps again. It's a work around but I am looking to see this resolved soon.

I apologize for not giving an update sooner. The issue is an updated ESV resource was released but the corresponding Audio resource wasn't updated at the same time. I expected the updated resource to be published by now but it seems that our resource team has a lot on their plate with the Smart Text Selection updates to many of our resources.
You are correct that if you get a little ways into the chapter it will again read with the correct narrator. This is because the audio positions do not quite line up with the text positions.

I sure hate to harp on this issue, but it's annoying to use work arounds in my daily reading. This is a feature I use daily and I suspect others do as well. Is there any way you can give us an estimate when this is expected to be fixed? At least we could see daylight at the end of the tunnel.. It's not that I don't appreciate your software, because I really do, I have used it since the first version of it came out and have built a sizable library over the years, but it really is frustrating.

As a general policy, Logos doesn't give out time tables. Exceptions are made from time to time, but inevitably the timetable is proven wrong. [:P]

The resources have been published to fix the timing issue. The Audio resources were just republished to fix a crash introduced with the latest update. You should be able to use Read aloud as soon as you download the updated ESV Audio resource.
