Hebrew fonts reversed in Word 365, but not in 2007
Hi everyone! Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.
I recently bought a PC with Windows 8 and thought it would be a good idea to upgrade my microsoft office suite from 2007 to 365.
I bought a year's subscription only to discover that the documents I pasted Hebrew terms in from Logos have the Hebrew text inverted from right to left. My heart sank since I realized I just finished synchronizing the documents through a cloud service.
To my relief, when I opened the documents on my old machine Hebrew letters were in proper order.
I spent a whole day reading everything I could find online, but nothing worked (and I ended up fighting some malware that got installed in the process).
In the end I installed office 2007 on my new machine since I need to finish the work asap.
I just can't figure out why this happens in office 365, but not in 2007?

I don't have access to 365, but it sounds like you need to turn on RTL language support in 365.

Are you editing documents online, or do you have Word installed on your desktop PC?

thank you for your tips.
I am editing documents with Word installed on my PC.
Before I posted in the forum here, I tried the suggestions mentioned on the page you linked, but it didn't work for me.Perhaps, that is because I found the explanation given by MS very complicated, since I am Ukrainian and not a native speaker.
I added Hebrew to my keyboard layouts and even downloaded Hebrew proofing tools. Word recognizes that the words are in the Hebrew language, but still inverts the letters.
Any other help will be greatly appreciated.0 -

Hi Mykola,
I use Office 365, and I don't think I have the problems you are having. Perhaps you could say exactly the steps you are taking to copy and paste the Hebrew text into Word. There are lots of different ways of copying from Logos, and it might be helpful to see what happens if I follow exactly the same steps as you.
It would also be interesting to see what happens if I open the Word document on my PC. Could you upload a test document that shows the words in the wrong order on your PC?

I can't even tell you how much I appreciate your help with this.
Since your suggestion, I was able to determine that the problem of inverting the Hebrew text occurs when I open a document that I created on a different machine using office 2007.
When I created a new document on my new laptop with 365 I copied the text as I do usually (ctrl c+ ctrl v from BHS or NIDOTTE, TWOT or HALOT) there were no problems and the text was rendered fine.
I am currently working on a major project in the book of Proverbs and don't have the time to go and manually change every word.
Here are the samples you've requested. Note that the first word מוּסַ֣ר is rendered correctly.

So, the problem is not pasting RTL (right-to-left) text into Office 365, the problem is opening a Word 2007 document created with your old PC in Office 365 on your new PC.
Have you tried adding Hebrew as an input language, and enabling the keyboard layout on your old PC? Try that, and then try re-saving those documents.
