Super, but I'm wondering what's actually going on with the community tags problem(s). Graham said it was being worked on. I wonder are they really, or is this something they'll soon tell us that they *plan* to fix in the *near* future & on & on it goes. Why am I hoping I'm wrong on this? :-)

Release Notes
We have added support for using Apple’s newer URL downloading APIs, which may help with the download issues with OS 10.10 Yosemite.
At this time it is optional and can be enabled by typing the following command into the Terminal OS X application:
- defaults write com.logos.Logos UseURLSession -bool YES
I take it the command in Terminal for Mac users only has to be entered once in the Terminal Command bar and that's it done? At least that is what I have done (following my iMac's inability to download L6.0a and the E.A. Sophocles collection in one go!).

Yes, thanks! That's a good thing to clarify. Running that command in Terminal once will change the download API, there is no need to run it again.

A whole lot of squashed bugs. Thanks for dealing with that mess! [8-|]

Another thank you for the Keynote export option

Thanks for being so diligent in improving the product.
The fonts on the homepage looks better.
The ability to click on the heading in an inline search is a welcome feature; however, having it open a new copy of the resource each time is less than ideal. (I don't, however, know what would be a better alternative as each possibility has its disadvantages.)

Hi,I am not an expert on computer. I face the download issue. I am on Yosemite 10.10.1 and Logos 6 with a MacBook Air. Can you provide a step by step guide on carrying out this remedy? Thank you.

Thanks for the prompt reply, alabama24.
One more question: What is the purpose of doing step 4, "Type set update channel to default (or stable) in the L6 command bar." Do I have to do this?
Thank you and God bless.

Not if you followed the current instructions and downloaded from the link.
(If you followed the older instructions about setting the update channel to beta, then, yes, you should set it back to default or stable.)

The purpose of that step is to make sure you don't unexpectedly receive a beta version in the future by changing the channel. Beta testing can be fun, but it should only be done in caution... By its very nature, beta testing is "buggy." There are times where a beta build might mean you have to wipe your install clean... Not something you would want to do if you are writing a sermon or a term paper!

Any chance the download link for Logos 6 owners can be changed to reflect the update to Logos 6.0a? Those having the download issues for Mac are unable to see if the update will work because they cannot download the update of Logos 6.0a behind 3+ GB worth of material.

We were working on getting that taken care of this morning, as it was missed yesterday. My understanding is that it was updated around 10am today, please let us know if that isn't the case. Sorry for the delay on that.

Jeffrey,
I think it's best if you post this to a new thread (or revive one where you reported it previously, if so). We would need diagnostic logs - start L6 with the Ctrl-key pressed, open the PB tool and build a book, after the crash collect the logs and post them as attachments (see http://wiki.logos.com/diagnostic_logging for details). We also need more details, such as if it crashes only a specific file, or only on files with pictures in them, or only for files in a specific language or of a specific type, e.g. bibles, or any other specifics you can give will help tracking this down.
For the record, PB works well for me (just tried the English monograph from the "Perkins" thread in the files forum).

Mine crashes on startup if diagnostic logging is enabled. If I disable the diagnostic logging it starts up fine for me.

It crashes on startup if logging is enabled. So that makes it hard to create a log. It crashes if I build a new book. If crashes if I try to rebuild a book that is already there. I can open the ones built before updating to the last two builds when it began to crash. And besides that, my PBs are greyed out..

It doesn't matter when it crashes. As long as you enable logging beforehand please upload the compressed Log files folder as per the wiki, and do so before you do anything else.

My Logos seems 'stuck' on:
Logos Bible Software 6.0 SR-4 6.0.0.3778
I have tried entering Update Now in the command box and Logos replies 'No update available'

Dave, It does seem to matter on a Mac. It only produces a console log.

Unfortunately, it only contains the "Console Message.log" file. It looks like you went through the proper procedure to enable logging, if you saw the login screen. I'm bumping this back up so that, hopefully, a mac expert can assist.

Is the software update server working yet? My 6.0 SR 4 is causing problems that 6.0a supposedly remedies.

OK thanks. Just tried "update now," and yes, no update available for my 6.0 SR4. I'm assuming the link above will be updated when software updates are available?
Thanks again.

That is correct; "Software updates" will be moved to the lower section when they are working again.
