desktop icon doesn't open L6

When I click on logos icon to startup the program it just goes to document folder. Since I purchased and downloaded L6 two weeks ago I have yet to use it on line. It was always off line. Well I needed to move the documents folder to the desktop. Somehow the icon shortcut was in that folder and I moved it to the desktop too. So now clicking on the icon to open the program only takes me to the documents folder. Any help out there?

I also wonder if uninstalling and reinstalling the program would help. I should add that I have had a tech dealing with this problem for two weeks with still no resolution. I was hoping to get to use it again this weekend but the frustrating thing for me is that the support shuts down on the weekends. And that usually is when I need the support.

Jeff, have you tried opening Logos directly from programs rather than using your desktop icon? If you are on a PC go to start, then All Programs then Logos Bible Software.

Which documents folder? Windows' or Logos'?

You can use the Logos.exe file in the Logos folder (e.g. C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Logos5) to create a shortcut when you right-click it. Move that to the desktop and start Logos.

I had moved the logos document folder. Anyway, my son, helped me get the icon back and open the program by doing what you suggested Dave.

Now if Logos can just get the rest of it fixed so I can use it online.

The major server outage that occurred 8-9 days ago affected all online features until recently, so you should be able to use L6 online. Provide some more detail about your issue and also some logs (upload the compressed Log files folder).

How did you move the documents folder and why place it on the desktop?
