Logos 5 for the Windows Desktop: No preferred Bible?

Hi! I downloaded the Logos 5 software for the Windows desktop this morning, installed it, and I think I may be missing something... On the homepageI do not have any preferred bibles under the "Choose Preferred Bible" box. I tried typing "Update resources" at the top (which I saw in another forum post) and it tells me "No updates were found. Should I not have a list of preferred Bibles to choose from? I'm new to Logos and I'm not sure what I should have...but surely I should have a list of Bibles to choose from...right?

Hi Jim - and welcome to the forums

I assume from what you write that you installed the free Logos 5 engine.

This doesn't include any resources and they need to be added into your account.

There are some free ones but they still need to be "purchased". The only free English one is the Lexham English Bible

Most Bibles in Logos cost around $10

What are you hoping to use Logos for? Maybe we can help point in the right direction

Thanks, Graham. Yes, I did install the free version. I'd like to do alot of things with Logos ranging from daily reading, light bible study, in-depth bible study, teaching prep, etc. etc. I know Logos will do all of that and more and I'm still finding new things even this morning!

I don't know what sort of budget (if any) you were hoping to spend but it is worth at least looking at what you can get in Logos "Base Packages" - a good way of getting a package of useful resources.

https://www.logos.com/compare is a useful way of seeing what is available
