Clippings shut down

I created a new clippings document and when I went to add an excerpt to it (that is, highlighted a resource, right clicked, selected the "Add to [open] Clippings" option) Logos froze for a couple seconds and then shut down.  I restarted the computer, tried again, and it happened again.

This is my primary way of using Logos- for sermon prep- so I would love to hear from anybody else who has this problem?  And hopefully has fixed it?

I'm running Logos 6 on a Windows 8.1 machine.  Everything else is working fine.

I can't reproduce so we need to see some logs. Submit the logs straight after Logos shuts down.

Okay, I zipped the files. 1172.Logos.zip

I have the same resource "Twelve months of Sundays: Reflections on Bible Readings, Year A" but could not induce your issue. Does it happen with other resources? If it is confined to that resource I would hide it, restart Logos then unhide it and restart Logos again to get a fresh copy.

Okay, I tried that (hid it, restart, unhid it, restart, tried copy/pasting again), and I'm still getting that error.  But not for other books.

Then we need to reindex it. In the Command box (top of window) type/paste:

    reindex LLS:12MOSUNA

and click on the highlighted Tools description to start indexing that one book.

Okay, tried that, it reindexed, tried copy/pasting again, no dice, same error message:

"Logos Bible Software has stopped working: Windows is searching for a solution to the problem" and then a minute later "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

It looks like there's either a problem with the clippings document, or a bug in adding a clipping from your selected text.

Can you paste a screenshot of the text you're trying to add to your clipping so we can try to reproduce?

Well, a week late, but I have a screenshot.  Purely by accident I also discovered that if I copy/paste the whole "article" (Christ the King) *except* the last paragraph, and then do the last paragraph separately, it works just fine.

    Here's the picture.

I can reproduce by selecting (Smart Selection ON) the whole article "Christ the King". It works OK with Smart Selection OFF!

I can't reproduce the crash yet, but I can't make a clipping from that text. The two problems are likely to be related, and I've filed a bug report.
