iPad highlighting could use a tweak

I have been a user of Android phones and tablets for a couple years now and I have enjoyed the logos app on it the entire time. Recently I decided to upgrade to an ipad mini and I have found the app on it to be rather different, mostly for the good. With that in mind, I am very happy with what the logos team has done with the ipad app. Still, one thing that bothers me (and I am noticing this as a type on an android phone) is that the cursors on the two platforms are not the same. The ipad has these itty bitty twig lines with mustard seeds on the bottom which is comparatively more difficult to use for highlighting. Is there anyway the app on the ipad could be reworked with the android highlighting cursor? That's my opinion at least. If the logos community likes the twig and mustard seed cursors feel free to disagree.

I too have an iPad mini and previously used an android device. Personally I like the way it is because the highlighting cursor doesn't overlap the text which the larger cursor does. I have also never had any issue using it but I can appreciate that it may take some getting used to.

Both Google and Apple have lengthy style recommendations and built-in UI elements for their respective OS's, and we follow those closely to make each app look like it really belongs on the operating system. It's what people expect, and part of why some prefer Android over iOS (and vice versa).

In each case (in your screenshots) we are following best practices for each platform.

It is not so much that I like the 'twig and mustard' seed cursors as that I would absolutely hate it if there wasn't consistency across applications.

I am now used to this facility in all the apps that handle text. Every time the Logos app differs from standard it just slows things down.
