I want to change Logos5 background color !

In program setting, I can change resource panal background.- grey, light grey, white, etc
Most resource panal color can be changed ! very good !!!
Grey color is good for my eye health....
But I cannot change another panal color (eg. program setting, information panal, panal background of mouse right button etc....)
White background is very very light, and not good for eye health.
My eye is very tired in whte background, even very low bright backpanal light of monitor.
Please, Please Make chang option of white background to another selected color, or grey

To change the background follow these steps:

2. Program Settings.
3. Resource Panel Background.

Thank You for your Kindness!
I want to chang not only resource panal backgrounds but also information panal background, program setting panal etc...
Information panal background is white, not changable
And When click the right button of mouse, selection panal of more resources appears.
I want to change this panal background color also.
Why?
White background color is very brighter!, My eyes are so tired.....
I use information panal frequently.
I look at resource panal & information panal in turn many times, So white color - grey - white - grey....
OH very tired, my eyes!!
I care for my eye health

Hi Changyoung ... welcome to the forum.
Regarding the panels you mention, they can not be changed. If you are on Windows7/Vista, the ease-of-view settings will similarly allow changing the resource panels, but not the Logos system panels (plus some older resources act similar to system panels; not changable).
I'm wondering if you could change them on your Logos4/Platinum?
Your idea is a good one.

I have asked for this in the past - it used to be a feature in the Zondervan program before they sold those titles to LOGOS. I would like to have Bibles be one color, commentaries another, dictionaries a third color, etc. So far this option has not been offered.

This was also one of my first wish list items when I first started using Logos. It would be extremely helpful on the eyes as well as being able to setup layouts that focus attention on the texts, sort of dimming the other tools to get them out of the way.
I do recommend actively managing the screen brightness to help the eyes. For PC with a monitor that doesn't have easily accessible brightness control you can use a utility like Pangolin and configure the system tray to always display it. For Android, I use Notification Toggle. I keep my PC at around 60/70% when well lit, around 30/40% when dark. My Android devices stay around 10% inside, around 100% outside.

Hello I think this would be a very good option if we could change the text backgrounds in Logos.
I have started having more eye strain in the past few weeks.
I don't want Logos to just set the color for us, but if we as the user could have a few choices.
Can anyone put this in the "User Voice" I don't have any idea how its done.
Thanks Lee

Want vs Need ?
My suggestion is Option of all panal background color change.
But this does not mean "beautiful colorful Logos5"
My hope is our healthy eyes.
Is it my 'want' only?
Or 'Need' of users of Logos bible software?

Changyoung, your idea is probably 'need' .... Logos already has settings to adjust the background to a reduced contrast, so obviously they thought there was a 'need'.
I suspect, given the sloppiness of the implementation and four years later, that it was written fairly early and didn't account for system panels and some 3rd party Libronix resources.
Chances are most of the Bellingham users are young and haven't yet encountered 'the problem'.

Seems to me that Logos team are not interested in user eyes health but in user money receiving.
I do not see any change regarding theme/background/colors/etc. in Logos 6 but an enormous increase of cost for it.

Now, Claudio. I notice my name above yours. My first reaction was that you were over-stating your case. The Logos jury .... er, forum would slam you good.
But yes, Logos does seem to identify key money-making opportunities, while accidentally placing back-burner issues further back on the back-burner.
I used to get excited about it. I don't anymore. Probably because Logos isn't my 'go-to' Bible software. They're sort of the crazy-idea people ... the date-your-pastor site, finding just the perfectly wrong map, carefully writing difficult to use UI's and laughingly avoiding a manual, and so on.
It really reminds me of the wild and crazy guy on Saturday Night Live, years back.

:-)
I don't care if anybody will "slam" me. If people like to spend a lot of money for this software which is far, far away of justifying the aberrant prices it have, is their problem.
But I assure you that TheWord Bible software is 10 times better than Logos. And is FREE!
And if you want for a few dollars you can buy extra-resources and having more resources than ever and I assure you that no one will be able to read or study all those resources in a life time :-)
And best af all you can make yourself the module you want very easy and very professional.
A little gold program of 5 stars
Logos is an very expensive soft for people that don't know the news in terms of religious PC software, and mostly for snobbish.

Floyd, I feel perfectly comfortable. Most would smilingly think 'Libronix'. But Libby's been playing 2nd fiddle to Logos iOS lately. Shhh!
My primary use software is my own. Just watching other people now and then, I'd suspect most people use a subset of any program's features, though the subset varies by person. So, if you could 'program it yourself', then it'd be your favorite.
Some features the I use a lot (but probably not most people):
- Support for tens of thousands of notes, displayed parallel to the text I'm in, sorted by when written, or category of note. My notes and other folks, such as Wescott, Darby, etc.
- Bible over-write ability at the user's (me) discretion
- Color coding of verse text similarity to other authors, which words/phrases, estimated period when most likely. Also any dissonance to the assigned author, and what the greek/hebrew would have more likely been
- Integrated inclusion of church fathers, sorted by estimated date written
- Image support (maps, diagrams, etc) that allows user changes, additions, etc. Hundreds of maps collected over the years.
- Word processor support (similar to Logos current) and PDF integration, but with integrated macros and direct edit below the visual level. Documents accessible from other software, unlike Logos.
- Raw text search across my PC library (text, PDFs, etc)
- Integrated spreadsheet support as needed for analysis
- Pattern visualization for greek and hebrew, layered by estimated age
- Plus an embredded neural networks engine for on-the-fly pattern matching
But mainly what I like best, is just be able to work fast. Get what I want. Document it. Move on. No muss, no fuss.

Sadly concur that color choices are lacking in Logos 6 with ongoing challenges for reading.

Logos Bible Software is free plus Faithlife corporation has free apps for mobile devices. Resource purchases can cause wallet to cry [:'(]
Thankful for 912 free Vyrso eBooks since Thanksgiving 2011 => https://vyrso.com/products/search?q=price%3A+[0+TO+0] Noticed 17,591 eBooks are now available.
Thankful for thousands of free Logos resources => https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=price%3a+[0+TO+0] that includes Perseus.
Thankful for many free Logos software releases; wiki summarizes all public Mac releases => https://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Release_Notes_and_HistoryApologies: TheWord software lacks ability to do Visual Filter Highlighting => https://wiki.logos.com/Extended_Tips_for_Highlighting_and_Visual_Filters#Examples_of_visual_filters so cannot see range of Greek verbal expression using TheWord. However, Logos Bible Software currently has English, Greek, and Spanish resources that can be highlighted.
TheWord 4 (4.0.0.1342) program has not been updated since 24 Nov 2012, which has a funny quirk when dragging resources into folders that arranges them in reverse alphabetic order.
Noticed TheWord forum has 30,086 posts, which is substantially less than 663,602 posts in the Faithlife forums.

For those still waiting for color options, consider a box of crayons with 64 colors. They should be less than $9 on Amazon. Then you can color the panels any way you want. 1) Try to stay in the lines--if that is important to you, otherwise, outside is also fine. 2) I hope Logos will consider selling crayons.
(This is supposed to be funny--don't actually try coloring your computer monitor unless you have the technical skills to do so.)

Not that bad an idea, if Logos is the only app, and you use fixed layouts. A magic marker (erasable for updates) to draw boxes around tiles. That's a big one. I can't tell where tile-1 tabs end and tile-2 tabs begin.
ok ... back to humor.
